Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Security Systems Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex integrated security systems.
About the Role
This position involves installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to national electric code, company and customer guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic test equipment and be able to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex integrated security systems, including access control systems, CCTV systems, and digital recorders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Perform system checks for proper operation.
• Analyze information and make informed decisions.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
• Work independently to complete installation jobs and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Requirements
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience in Digital & Analog Camera Systems and Access Control Systems preferred.
• Understanding of Alarm Systems design and function required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with IP addressable security devices.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking skills and computer literate.
• Able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record.
• Specialized training/certification in Access Control and CCTV-IP knowledge desired.

Salary Information
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
