HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration Technician in the Des Moines market. Tech24 and its subsidiaries are a full-service commercial kitchen equipment repair company providing complete foodservice equipment maintenance and repair services for various industries.
The Commercial HVAC/R Technician operates a company vehicle to and from customer sites troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. To be successful, this role requires independent work, strong technical skills and excellent customer service expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects equipment for safe operation.
• Communicates with customers and branch staff regarding repair status.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Maintains truck stock and ensures needed parts are available.
• Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to company standards.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly safety guidelines.
Requirements:
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Standard computer skills.
• Owning industry standard hand tools.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and crawl in tight spaces.
• Extensive travel within the region.
• Working nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call rotation.
• Mechanically inclined with a desire to learn new techniques.
• Previous experience as a commercial HVAC and Refrigeration technician required.
• Universal EPA certification is highly preferred.
