As an ABM Industries team member, you will operate, maintain, and repair complex HVACR systems, working collaboratively with the Chief Engineer and other team members.
Job Overview:
• Deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly to tenant requests and resolving issues efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts, to prevent system breakdowns.
• Conduct repairs and replacements, using specialized tools and equipment to resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing adjustments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, providing regular updates on system status and work progress.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance job-related skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
• At least two years of experience with commercial HVACR systems, with a focus on preventative maintenance and repair.
• Technical school certification in a related field, demonstrating expertise in HVACR technology.
• Universal EPA refrigeration certification, showcasing knowledge of refrigeration systems.
• Engineer License, Special License, or Boilers License, indicating advanced technical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of tools and materials used in building maintenance, essential for efficient operations.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities, allowing for quick identification and resolution of issues.
• Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Office products, facilitating effective communication and record-keeping.
• The ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs, ensuring physical capabilities match job demands.
• Skilled in maintaining detailed records and basic report writing, providing clear insights into system performance.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical documentation, supporting informed decision-making.
We estimate an annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000, based on location and experience, along with excellent union benefits, including paid medical and a pension plan.
