HVAC Service Specialist Job Description
Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Specialist to provide expert technical support to our clients. About the Position:
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with colleagues, vendors, and customers to identify and resolve equipment issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and provide timely estimates for repairs and upgrades.
Main Responsibilities:
• Conduct site assessments, inspections, and service requests to identify equipment issues and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades
• Develop and present detailed estimates for labor and material costs to clients
• Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments to ensure optimal system performance
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues through effective communication
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding promptly to after-hours emergencies and providing timely resolutions
Essential Qualifications:
• Valid ODS certification
• More than 5 years of experience working with medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands
• Strong understanding of chiller control systems, speed drives, and compressor technologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and handheld devices (smartphones, iPads)
• Adherence to company safety programs and procedures
Compensation Package:$80-$100 per hour, based on experience. Benefits include participation in a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
