We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive HVAC Specialist to join our team at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). As a key member of our AEE&M/City Vehicle Maintenance department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems on our bus and rail vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains vehicle climate control systems, including replacing components as needed.
• Performs overhauls on HVAC systems, including removal and replacement of system components.
• Diagnoses and repairs/replaces electrical, electronic systems, and microprocessor-based control systems within the HVAC system.
• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing/replacing drive systems for A/C compressors, including DC Motors, pony engines, power take-offs, drive shafts, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, or relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Must be First Class Qualified Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic.
• Must satisfactorily complete written qualifications tests specific to this job description and performance tests as required.
• Must possess valid Pennsylvania Class 'B', CDL, or equivalent.
