Mechanical Designer, HVAC & Plumbing
Designs and specifies project appropriate engineering requirements.
• Prepares high-quality engineering documents within project schedule constraints.
• Sets up and manages complex Revit models.
• Performs Revit modeling and detailing.
• Participates in BIM best practice standards development.
• Conducts site investigation and observations.
• Collaborates to avoid system clashes through cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
• Participates in construction contract administration.
• Mentors junior staff and encourages their development.
• Attends client meetings and communicates with stakeholders throughout project development.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, particularly with HVAC and plumbing systems. They should be proficient in industry-standard software such as Revit and AutoCAD, and have experience working on large projects.
• Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably on large projects.
• Associate's degree from a technical college or 4-year non-engineering degree.
• Characteristics:
• Demonstrated knowledge of codes and industry standards.
• Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency using industry-standard calculation software.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and time effectively.
