Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Install Lead Technician to join our team at Meyers Heating & Air Conditioning. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading our installation crew in the removal, installation, and startup of new HVAC systems, including ductwork and IAQ products.
This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Salary Range
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $58,000 - $72,000, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities
• Lead the installation crew in removing, installing, and starting up new residential HVAC systems
• Supervise the installation of HVAC-related equipment and accessories according to manufacturer specifications
• Coordinate the design, fabrication, and installation of various ducts and duct fittings as necessary
• Ensure proper connection of gas lines to heating equipment
• Train, coach, and mentor apprentices if needed
• Install and program all versions of thermostats
• Install, wire, and plumb all IAQ products
• Collaborate with the Install Coordinator and fellow Installation Technicians to deliver exceptional client service
Essential Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years retro-install experience; 1 year retro-lead experience preferred
• EPA License (required)
• Able to use iPad for timekeeping and documenting job notes
• Clear driving record and valid license
• Owning trade tools, including hand tools, multimeter, and torches
