Job Title:
HVAC Journeyman - Heavy Commercial Markets
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman to join our team and work with advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment. Our Service Technical Academy (STA) provides factory certification, milestone recognition, and monetary rewards for excellence in execution. Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Repair centrifugal, steam turbines, and absorption machines, as well as open-drive screw chillers and ammonia systems.
Requirements:
• Massachusetts Refrigeration License is Required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Ability to commit to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification, which must be completed after hours and weekends upon hire.
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Candidate already in the Local Union (Boston 537).
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
Work Environment:
This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
