INSTRUMENT SYSTEMS WORKER (HVAC)
Department: Facilities-Repair and Maintenance (multiple openings)
This position is responsible for:
• Repairing and maintaining heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration for the Institute’s buildings and equipment.
• Inspecting and testing heating and air conditioning systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electronic temperature control systems, electronic circuitry, and other building system equipment.
• Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing microprocessors and associated instrumentation related to building automation systems.
• Performing tests and adjustments of input and output devices and setting up and maintaining history and documentation files.
• Troubleshooting electronic circuitry.
• Receiving work order assignments, ordering materials, and completing tasks accurately, with detailed written comments provided on work orders upon completion.
• Completing time entry to supervisor on a daily basis with comments.
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on building equipment.
• Cleaning work area and maintaining tools and equipment.
