General Description:
Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Mobile Facility Engineer to join our team in Lubbock, TX. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below.
We have a solid team of experienced and respected technicians. Our business continues to grow, and we are looking for another solid technician that is interested in a long-term position and who will fit well into our team.
Facility Engineers are focused on service and delivering long-term technical solutions for our clients. They maintain, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and more.
Summary of Job Functions and Equipment:
• Respond to tenant comfort complaints in a timely and responsive fashion.
• Observe work performed by other contractors to assure compliance with their scope of work.
• Maintain cleanliness of all mechanical and equipment rooms.
• Perform general carpentry, painting and other building maintenance functions normally a part of commercial building operations.
• Adjust doors, closures, and locks.
• Replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, ballasts.
• Respond to requests and needs of building management personnel.
• Perform trash clean-up, snow removal, and other exterior maintenance tasks as required.
• Perform/assist to make tenant spaces ready for new tenants.
• Preventive Maintenance
• Perform tests and rounds on building systems
• HVAC, Electrical Troubleshooting, General Facility Maintenance, Plumbing
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
• Demonstrated experience providing facility support in electrical, basic plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Values and display exceptional customer service.
• Strong organization skills
Minimum Qualifications:
• Over 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a building engineer capacity
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Comfortable working on computers
• Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
Compensation & Benefits:
Average Starting Rate: $17.00-$24.00 per hour. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.
