We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Technician to join our team at the Carrier Innovation Hub Americas in Syracuse, NY.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing innovative and novel HVAC&R technologies. As a Senior HVAC Technician, you will work closely with engineers to design, develop, and validate new products and technologies across Carrier's global portfolio.
This role requires a strong background in HVAC&R systems, including experience with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You should have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting on HVAC&R systems in an engineering laboratory
• Connect electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems
• Maintain and operate complex laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure fast and safe resolutions
• Use data acquisition systems to control and conduct testing
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, lab, and/or R&D
• Associate's degree or equivalent in engineering technology or a related field
• 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
• 2-year associate degree in engineering or a related field
• Experience with psychrometric chambers, environmental lab testing, and data collection
• Hands-on experience with setting up test rigs and operating complex laboratory equipment
