Job Title: Fire/Security Systems Technician
The ideal candidate will work under minimal supervision to complete assigned programming, commissioning, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of fire / security systems as per contract obligations.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of core and third-party fire / security products, software, and systems/electrical technology.
• Perform required commissioning documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Troubleshoot access control and CCTV/IP cameras issues.
• Maintain appropriate local and National Fire / Security Industry Certifications.
• Assist in monitoring project execution per plan.
• Perform self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and application.
A high school diploma plus two years' experience in installing fire / security systems is required. Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training is desired.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
