HVAC Piping & Process Systems Estimator
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Piping & Process Systems Estimator to join our team in San Jose, CA.
As a key member of our estimating department, you will support our capital projects teams by providing timely and accurate cost estimates for new construction, tenant improvement, or maintenance projects.
This is a full-time, in-office position with no remote or hybrid options available.
Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and accurate cost estimates of labor and materials for various projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with peer estimators, project managers, engineers, detailers, and vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage project expectations through effective communication and use of software tools such as Highland Construction Software / Quote Soft / Trimble AutoBid.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of experience in the construction HVAC & process systems industry.
• Knowledge of SMACNA and experience using estimating software such as Trimble AutoBid.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Critical competencies: organized, problem-solving, agile, customer service, writing, active listening, and coordination.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC codes and blueprints.
Estimated Salary:
$80,000 - $120,000 per year.
