Commercial Estimator HVAC Specialist
Atlas Mechanical Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator HVAC Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial building projects. This includes reviewing project plans and specifications, calculating material and labor costs, and providing cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements.
We are looking for a skilled professional with a minimum of 7 years of estimation experience, plus a thorough working knowledge of HVAC systems, design, and installation. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, effective organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set up, automate, and track data and information.
The salary range for this position is $85K to $100K per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Calculate material and labor costs to provide cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and present bids and proposals to clients.
• Analyze RFP, specifications, and drawings to determine the constructibility of the current design.
• Enter estimating data into database for tracking and analysis.
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of estimation experience, plus a thorough working knowledge of HVAC systems, design, and installation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks, and manage projects with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
• Strong customer service, excellent people skills, and the ability to build and maintain supportive working relationships.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, flexibly, and responsively while working with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills with Timberline and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and create reports.
