Job Description
Join our dynamic Pilot Team as a Commercial HVAC/R Specialist! Enjoy the benefits of a substantial quarterly bonus, weekends off, and no on-call responsibilities. You will be dispatched from home, working 45-50+ hours weekly. We provide a company service vehicle, all necessary tools, equipment, a cellular phone/iPad, and a laptop. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of approximately 15 store locations.
The primary purpose of this role is to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on facility HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems in various food and retail locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair according to warranty and industry standards.
• Maintain clear communication with the service tech supervisor and store management regarding repair status.
• Document same-day work order repair notes and forward them to the supervisor, ensuring accurate charge allocations.
• Monitor truck stock to guarantee necessary parts are readily available.
• Keep the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms maintained to company standards.
• Conduct inspections of facility interiors and exteriors for safety and maintenance issues.
• Perform repairs, equipment maintenance, and work activities in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Exhibit behaviors that support the company’s purpose; provide exceptional support to guests and team members.
• Ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state driver's license with a positive driving history.
• At least three years of recent maintenance experience with commercial HVAC systems (certification preferred).
• A minimum of three years of recent experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Basic knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical system repairs.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate mathematical skills.
• Ability to interpret site drawings.
• Collaborative mindset for working with various departments.
• Attention to detail.
• Capability to work in congested areas during operational hours.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 10% of the time.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.
