We are seeking a skilled Generator Field Service Technician to join our team at Power Plus. Our company provides power solutions to Fortune 500 companies across the country, and we're looking for someone with experience in diesel generators, mechanical and electrical installation, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and repair, with the ability to work on systems ranging from 5 kw to 4000kw. They should also be skilled in customer service, technical writing, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
This role offers a competitive salary of $87,600 - $130,500 per year, plus benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test 5kw – 4000kw generator systems
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Correctly fill out paperwork and reports
• Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Requirements:
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators
• Technical schooling, automotive or transportation fields, commercial, residential electric, or military experience a plus
• Willingness to learn and use new technologies
• Available to work various shifts, weekend, holidays, and on-call pager rotations with occasional out-of-town travel/overnight stays
• Able to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes according to OSHA regulations
• Certified Journeyman Electrician a plus but not required
