Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team at Newmark Group Inc. As a Mechanical Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various building operating systems on site. You may be assigned to work in a single building or multiple locations depending on the scope of the project.
Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and comfort of tenants while also identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain all building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, including regular inspections and testing
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement of consumable parts
• Conduct general building maintenance as needed, including repairs and replacements
• Be responsive to tenant requests and coordinate with contractors and management as required
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records, including familiarity with software systems
Requirements
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years previous building operations engineering experience
• CFC certification in high pressure discipline
• Able to handle multiple projects and make decisions
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills
• Holds any necessary licenses
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,750. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives.
