Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of Building Automation Controls Systems, is seeking a skilled Building Controls Technician to join their team. This individual will be responsible for providing services related to the retro-commissioning and calibration of existing control systems.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and redlines
• Completing sensor calibrations on HVAC control systems
• Tuning PID loops on equipment programs to optimize operation
• Assisting project sub-contractors, including test and balance contractors
• Contributing to engineering control system hardware and software programming based on project plans and specifications
• Implementing programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems
Requirements:
• 1-3 years of well-rounded HVAC experience and strong understanding of basic technology
• Understanding and exposure to building control system programming, startup, and/or commissioning
• Certification or education in Tridium/Niagara / Distech / Alerton / Schneider Electric / Johnson Controls / Siemens / Honeywell
• Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
• Ability to use tools, including test equipment, for sensor calibration
• Basic understanding of DDC Control Theory and Applications as related to HVAC equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• 75% travel required within Maine
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Niagara 4 workbench software
• Niagara AX or N4 certification
• Understanding of controls equipment installation and ancillary devices/sensors
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
The salary for this position is $80,000 - 90,000 per year, with an annual bonus program and comprehensive benefits package included. A company vehicle and gas card are also provided.
