Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Journeyman to ensure safe and reliable operation, maintenance and repair of all support systems and equipment with emphasis on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ice making machines. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of all refrigerators and ice machines. Completes projects on a timely basis and within budget parameters. Maintains current and accurate records of all maintenance inspections and repairs in computerized maintenance management system and/or on appropriate forms. Ensures work areas, equipment, and supplies are kept clean, orderly and safe. Participates in processes that support continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards. Communicates and works with clinical and support staff regarding maintenance requirements, potential impacts to operations, and coordination of activities. Operates all mechanical equipment in the boiler room area including the emergency generator and cooling tower.* Installs and repairs electrical and plumbing equipment/systems as required.
Requirements:
• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience No experience required for some locations Must hold one of the following certifications:
• Type II - Section 608 Technician Certification - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
• Universal - Section 608 - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
• Mechanical/R Journeyman - Oklahoma Construction Industries Board
• Mechanical Contractor - Oklahoma Construction Industries Board
• Type III - Section 608 - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
• Type II - Section 608 Technician Certification - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
• Type I - Section 608 - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
• Universal - Section 608 - United States Environmental Protection Services (EPA) certified issuer
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a regular shift from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. On-call rotation may be required. Occasional overtime may be necessary to meet business needs. You will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various types of equipment and machinery. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected. This job requires constant standing and walking. Frequently lifts/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. May occasionally lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rarely drives. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships and identify/distinguish colors is also required. Physical stamina to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements is also essential.
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
