About the Role
Tex-AC & Heating is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Engineer to join our team. As an HVAC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining heating and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC service technician roles and hold an EPA certification. You will work independently, taking pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, install, and maintain heating and air conditioning systems to improve efficiency, including replacing filters, cleaning ducts, and refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
• Develop and implement plans to establish customer rapport and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction.
• Inspect and test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Past experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable education.
• Valid Driver's License.
• EPA Certification.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of RTU package units, heat pumps, air handlers, high eff furnaces, two stage compressors.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
