Primary Job Function: The Installation Technician is a field position in which the candidate routinely displays technical capabilities required to complete various complexities of HVAC equipment installations. The Installation Technician is responsible for performing Installation work orders through completion while providing the company's clientele with an unmatched level of quality and service. In this role, the Installation Technician will routinely display high to moderate levels of technical knowledge. The Installation Technician will be self-motivated, time efficient and technically accurate while strictly adhering to company policies.
Reports to: Installation Field Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• 1 year minimum in the HVAC industry
• EPA certification: Type II or Universal
• NATE certifications: Obtain Core and 1 Specialty
• Must be able to meet US Dept of Labor strength level designation of Medium/Heavy
• Knowledge on all currently offered equipment lines
• Ability to manage Installation Jobs within current Cost of Quality and Warranty Brackets
• Advanced customer service and communication skills
• Excellent peer interaction and team building skills
• Advanced organization skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to continually learn and personally grow
• Must have capabilities to exert force from 0 to 72 lbs. consistently
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform technical installations and complete follow up work within established Cost Of Quality limits
• Provide clients with equipment information, maintenance requirements, and system education on installed products
• Install and set up thermostat and provide client with orientation
• Address and resolve difficult jobs as directed by the Installation Field Supervisor
• Complete installations within the estimated time frame
• Record and accurately complete all forms and reports within an acceptable time frame
• Maintain adequate vehicle stock to complete installations
• Possess/Maintain required tool list for Install Technician
• Abide by all company policies
• Provide support to other areas of the business as needed
• Promote an environment of positive morale, collaborative communication and continual improvement
• Maintain all company owned equipment
• Participate in job debriefs to ensure understanding of scope of work prior to job
