About the Role
This Commercial HVAC Cost Estimator position offers a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team at Mechanical Reps Inc.
A private company with over 50 years of experience, we value building strong relationships and serving others.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in commercial construction projects or HVAC technical training.
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, for this exciting role.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop accurate and detailed estimates of HVAC products from construction plans and documents.
• Analyze and comprehend bid documents: project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Process Addendum(s) as necessary.
• Familiarity with estimating software and manufacturer's software pricing programs for product costing.
• Ability to learn manufacturer equipment selection software.
• Skill in learning and conducting on-screen takeoffs.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Proficiency in building construction, including MEP trade for new construction and renovation.
• Strong computer skills with expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and OST On-Screen Take Off Software (desired but not mandatory).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to multiple requests concurrently.
