Job Description
The HVAC System Service Technician is responsible for performing inspections, testing, repairs, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing system performance through observation, operating hand tools and power tools, and completing service contracts and quoted projects while maintaining profitability.
The successful candidate will develop long-term relationships with customers, explain work performed to customer satisfaction, safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, and adhere to company safety requirements.
This role requires purchasing materials, issuing purchase order numbers, and maintaining equipment, tools, and inventory stock on the service vehicle.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
About the Job:
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial and residential HVAC systems
• Diagnose system performance issues using observational skills and technical knowledge
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment
• Develop long-term relationships with customers through excellent communication and customer service skills
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, purchases, and inventory
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-5 years of experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights
