Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, specifically in ammonia refrigeration, and possess the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, focusing on ammonia refrigeration units.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration equipment using tools such as an Ohmmeter.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system designs and layouts.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to complete complex repairs or installations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while working on refrigeration systems.
• Utilize plumbing skills as needed for system installations or repairs.
• Drive company vehicles to various job sites as required.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role in HVAC or appliance repair.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, including ammonia systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and design documents.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as an Ohmmeter for troubleshooting.
• Mechanically inclined with a solid foundation in plumbing skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
