Job Summary:
We offer a competitive compensation package including an estimated $70,000 - $90,000 per year salary, depending on experience, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, AD&D/Life Insurance, 401k, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Installing, Troubleshooting, and Maintaining HVAC Systems: You will work with the Shipyard Manager to ensure the smooth operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on vessels, shipyards, and offices.
• Preventative Maintenance: Track and perform all preventative maintenance of HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Problem-Solving: Diagnose, assess problems, and perform repairs of HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Project Installation: Install new systems, adhering to company policies and procedures in ordering parts and tools.
• Training and Development: Train junior support staff to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 Years' Experience: As an experienced HVAC technician, you possess a solid understanding of HVAC systems and principles.
• EPA Certification: Your EPA certification ensures you are equipped to handle refrigerants and other hazardous materials safely.
• Project Management Skills: Experience with project management, facilitation, and consulting enables you to coordinate tasks and manage resources effectively.
Mental and Physical Aptitudes:
• Excellent Organizational Skills: You have excellent time management skills, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
• Ability to Work Independently: Your ability to receive coaching and work with little supervision allows you to take initiative and make decisions independently.
• Clear Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills enable you to convey complex ideas and concepts effectively.
• Lifting Capacity: You can lift 50 pounds without restriction, enabling you to perform physical tasks with ease.
• Confined Spaces and Extreme Weather Conditions: Your ability to work in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
• Swimming Ability: You must be a strong swimmer, able to respond to emergencies and protect yourself in aquatic situations.
