Job Description
Pipefitter Superintendent is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted workflow, standing in for project manager during absence, and overseeing safety and quality requirements.
The candidate will be responsible for daily project execution in line with Labor Union Agreements, establishing a working relationship with Local Union Business Agent, and providing in-house estimates to Project Management Team.
This position includes sales and soliciting new business for additional commission-based income, attending job walks as requested, and assisting the Project Manager in ensuring adherence to Job Site Safety, Quality, Performance Management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Solicits new customer projects for Pipefitter Division.
• Assures complete adherence by site supervision and craft to Air-Tec Standards, reports inappropriate conduct to Construction manager and project Safety manager.
• Monitors piping activities, assures on-time completion of project, and assists pipefitters in resolving problems.
• Tracks construction productivity, progress, and cost, takes necessary actions to maintain targets, ensures competent adherence to Air-Tec standards, and recruits for hiring needs.
• Develops corrective plans, verifies material, manpower, and resources needed, develops and monitors completion of pipefitter project punch list activities, maintains a daily log for site records, reviews timesheets and labor reports, and identifies potential back charges and out of scope issues.
• Provides supervision, training, development, and performance reviews for Pipefitter Staff, adheres to safety and quality standards, supports continuous improvement efforts, and estimates projects for Project Management Team.
