About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Blt Management LLC. This role involves hands-on maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep and enhancement of our luxury community in Jersey City, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in completing make-ready apartments, including tasks such as painting, drywall repair, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain the appearance of common areas, ensuring they are free of trash and debris.
• Help maintain all mechanical equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and exterior areas.
• Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, trade and/or technical school training a plus.
• Minimum 1+ year of HVAC experience required.
• Must have 1+ year of hands-on experience in painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, or similar maintenance-related field of work.
• Fire Safety Manager Certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Computer knowledge with ability to generate work orders using property management software system.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record required.
• EPA, CPO, HVAC, and CFC certifications a plus.
• Evening and weekend work may be required.
