Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration systems, particularly parallel rack refrigeration, and possess mechanical knowledge to effectively troubleshoot and repair various equipment. This role involves working with schematics, performing property maintenance tasks, and ensuring the optimal functioning of refrigeration units.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems, focusing on ammonia refrigeration units.
• Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and troubleshoot issues.
• Read and interpret schematics for installation and repair purposes.
• Perform welding and plumbing tasks as needed for system repairs or installations.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address any related issues impacting refrigeration systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all tasks.
Experience
• Proven experience in equipment repair, specifically in refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to build, plumb, weld, and refrigerate as necessary.
• Experience working with schematics and technical documentation related to refrigeration systems.
• Previous experience in property maintenance is a plus but not required.

Pay: $16.75 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
