We are currently looking for an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mount Vernon Apartments.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. They must also be able to diagnose problems, estimate costs, and complete repairs efficiently.
This role involves working independently, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Complete work orders and assigned maintenance requests
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and monitor building systems and equipment
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors
• Maintain day-to-day operations of the property
• Diagnose problems and make repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, appliances, and any related residential apartment requirements
• Complete routine community inspections
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
• 4 years of experience in maintenance or related fields
• Certified in HVAC repair and Section 608 Stationary Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Certification
• Ability to provide 3 professional references
• Valid driver's license and own car
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workloads
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary
• Pass a criminal background check
