Position operates and maintains various Industrial and Commercial HVAC equipment throughout medical center and associated buildings, including but not limited to, Fire tube boilers, centrifugal chillers, compressed air systems, walk-in units, large air handling units, exhaust systems and ventilation systems.

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for performing preventive and reliability centered maintenance, repairs and operations of all the HVAC systems. Ensure quality workmanship and high work standards always conforming to the current ASHRAE standards. Maintain the quality and quantity of his/her work up to acceptable company standards and in accordance with established policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following and other duties as assigned:
· Responsible for operation and inspection of Chillers, Boilers, compressed air, freezers and all supporting equipment.
· Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Industrial HVAC and Refrigeration Systems
· Responsible for maintenance, repairs and calibration of reliability centered maintenance sensors and monitoring devices.
· Responsible for the completion of all PM and record keeping assigned to his/her areas of responsibility.
· Submit as required all reports required for your area.
· Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the performance of all equipment.
· Respond to emergencies as supervisor deems necessary.
· Ensure that safe working conditions are being maintained in all areas under his/her control
Qualification Requirements- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · A minimum of 6 years combined in the HVAC field experience and technical training from an accredited school or apprenticeship program with documented work experience.
· Preferred three (3) years of experience in a medical facility operations or maintenance capacity.
· Universal CFC Certification required
· Experienced with large walk-in freezers and coolers is a plus.
· Knowledge of building automation systems, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control troubleshooting preferred.
· Working knowledge of steam boilers and chilled water air conditioning systems preferred.
· Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions is required.
· Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions as well as lifting objects over 50 pounds.
· Preferred experience with Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO), NFPA, OSHA and EPA codes and standards.
· Must be willing to work flexible schedule with some weekend work required.
Language Skills– This position requires that the individual be able to speak and understand the English language. The individual must be able to read, write, and follow directions in the English language.
Reasoning Ability- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
