About the role:
Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month technical sales progression program designed for recent college graduates. The program's focus is on consolidating our market share through strategically selling Johnson Controls’ HVAC products and services to commercial stakeholders. As part of the program, you will apply your technical engineering expertise and business insight to engage with customers, enhancing their understanding of their product and project requirements. You'll participate in a 6-month multifaceted training program involving classroom learning, field orientation, and hands-on training. You'll gain knowledge of our mechanical equipments and services, customer relationship tactics, and leadership skills to support our customer base in your designated territory, working adeptly alongside our sales team. You will engage with architects, engineers, building owners, and internal experts to deliver on our business objectives. As a vital resource within a local sales unit and a national constellation of sales professionals, your contribution will be significant.
Your role responsibilities:
- Estimating job bids and preparing proposals in collaboration with contractors, architects, and building owners
- Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors
- Conducting sales calls to foster new business and cement existing relationships
- Proposing solutions to clients for assessment
- Gathering and analyzing business intelligence
- Handing over projects to operations teams for execution and installation purposes
What we are looking for:
Mandatory:
- Candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical arena (engineering, construction management, or IT) and graduating in December 2024 or May/June 2025. The program commences on January 6, 2025 or June 9, 2025
- Strong problem-solving skills and a swift adaptation to new knowledge
- The ability to manage numerous projects and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and a strong aptitude for team-work
- U.S Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Desired:
- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be highly beneficial
- Prior experience in sales, engineering, or business gleaned through internships, co-ops, part-time or full-time roles.
