Under the direction and supervision of the Lead HVAC and HVAC Supervisor, the HVAC Technician will perform installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of refrigerated equipment, environmental systems, air conditioning, and all auxiliary systems at ECP properties.

Skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
• Proficient in running copper piping and PVC
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Capable of making technical decisions under pressure
• Understanding of heating systems and components
• Knowledge of all types of HVAC systems and their operations
• Understanding of refrigeration recovery and installation of refrigerant piping
Responsibilities
• Communicate with Technical Support on equipment issues
• Follow truck maintenance schedule and maintain an organized workspace
• Investigate problems and perform repairs on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Maintain a high quality of service
• Keep truck stock and inventory in line with company guidelines
• Participate in training on the latest technologies
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Provide accurate reporting and communication to Property Management
• Recycle and charge refrigerant (must be EPA certified)
• Repair and replace HVAC components
• Strive for ‘first time fix’ for tenant equipment
• Perform welding and soldering as needed
Qualifications
• EPA Universal Certified
• HVAC Certification
• 3 to 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
Education Requirements
• Relevant certifications or degrees in HVAC or related fields preferred
