• *About the Job**
We're seeking a skilled Plumbing Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing, with experience reading specifications and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings. You should also possess excellent communication skills, as you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all plumbing issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
• *Responsibilities
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including water and sewer, steam, air, piped medical gas, vacuum, and fire protection
• Perform preventative maintenance on associated plumbing system components and document accordingly
• Assist outside contractors with plumbing system outages during major utility repairs and/or new construction
• Assist other Facilities Management staff with troubleshooting/repairing equipment as it relates to the Facility infrastructure
• *Requirements*
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of Commercial or Industrial experience, to include experience reading specifications and Interpreting Schematics, Blueprints, and Mechanical Drawings
• Current Louisiana State Journeymen Plumbers License in the state of practice
• Compensation
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and development.
