We are seeking an experienced Service Department Leader to join our team at Shotmeyer Bros Fuel Co LLC. As an HVAC Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our service department to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HVAC services.
Salary: $80,000 - $180,000 per year

The Service Department Leader will play a critical role in managing service technicians, assisting the dispatcher with scheduling, coordinating installations, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of HVAC service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Assist the dispatcher with scheduling service technicians to customer locations for repair, maintenance, and installation jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Service Delivery: Ensure that customer needs are met promptly and effectively by monitoring and prioritizing service requests.
• Parts Ordering: Locate and order parts as needed for field staff.
• Troubleshooting Support: Provide research and location assistance for service manuals or troubleshooting instructions for various equipment as needed.
• Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations of service technicians, providing feedback and coaching to enhance skill levels and job performance.
• Safety Compliance: Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Customer Relations: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations, resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Quality Assurance: Check technician notes for accuracy at the end of the day and communicate with field staff to ensure jobs are properly completed.
• Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of service operations.
Requirements:
Background: Proven experience in HVAC service management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills: Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and HVAC service management software.
Safety and Regulations: Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to HVAC service operations.
Certification: HVAC certification or relevant trade qualifications preferred.
