We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Morgan Properties. This role is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring that both the inside and outside meet company standards and applicable laws.
About the Role
This position requires strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and small appliance repair. You will be working in an on-call rotation, which may require nights and weekend flexibility. Our ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and personal vehicle insurance.
Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and small appliance repair
• Ensure the inside and outside of the property meet company standards and applicable laws
• Respond to maintenance tickets and follow up with residents and office staff on the status of work
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A valid driver's license and good driving record
• A personal vehicle and auto insurance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• One or more years of experience in apartment maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and small appliance repair
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• The ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification and/or boiler's license is a plus
