Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, ventilation systems, ductwork, wiring, and piping. This requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components, as well as proficiency in using HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation of HVAC Systems: Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, ventilation systems, ductwork, wiring, and piping, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
• Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications as needed.
• Safety Procedures: Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding their HVAC systems.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role.
• HVAC Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Tools and Equipment: Proficiency in using HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication: Good communication and customer service skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications: Valid HVAC technician certification (e.g., EPA 608) and a valid driver's license.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, work in extreme temperatures, and perform physically demanding tasks.
