Refrigeration Technician
About This Position:
As an HVAC/R Technician for Craftsmen Resources, you will be involved in multiple construction projects including residential, commercial, and industrial work. Our average work week is Monday – Friday, 07:00-3:30p, although certain projects may require overtime or a variable schedule. As a Technician, you may be tasked with the following:
• Install, test, diagnose, and repair compressor racks, condensing units, other mechanical and refrigeration equipment, and system components with appropriate testing equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and operation.
• Measure, cut, and install a variety of refrigeration piping systems.
• Operate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other related field tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Train and direct HVAC/R apprentice(s) to assist in installation of HVAC, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
• Be a safety champion and return home safely each day.
Pay is DOE $16 - $40 / hour.
Job Requirements:
• EPA Universal certification.
• Must have 1-5 years of construction HVAC/Refrigeration field experience.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and push and pull objects as required.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, kneel, and reach.
• Work at least 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.
• Ability to obtain an apprentice or journeyman’s license with the state licensing board.
• Ability to work well with others.
