Equipment Maintenance Technician
Georgia Air and Refrigeration Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. As an expert in maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, including HVAC systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, dish machines, and more.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused individual with a strong background in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment. Your excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities will enable you to effectively troubleshoot issues and resolve requests in a timely manner. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services and build strong relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including HVAC systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, dish machines, and more.
• Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits to ensure error-free performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and gas-related issues with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or certification preferred.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manner to meet deadlines and deliver results.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
• Preferred relevant certifications such as EPA 608, CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Associate) in gas, electrical, steam, refrigeration, or electrical.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record as outlined by our company policy.
• Ability to pass a satisfactory background and drug screening.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on location and experience.
