We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team in Norman, Oklahoma. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
Your Responsibilities
">

• Inspect, test, maintain, repair, calibrate, and install mechanical refrigeration and equipment, air conditioning, heating, compressed air, and vacuum systems.">
• Clean air conditioner condensers, coils, dampers on air handlers, and grills on ceiling and walls.">
• Maintain exhaust fan systems.">
• Test system operations for leaks and defects using gauges and instruments.">
• Troubleshoot problems and make necessary repairs to the system.">
• May estimate costs and recommend replacement of equipment to the lead or supervisor.">
• Work on specialized lab equipment such as centrifuges, ultra-low temperature freezers, and alcohol chillers.">
• Install, repair, and maintain various electronic and pneumatic equipment.">
• Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems.">
• Install complex expansion and control valves, flex and metal ducts, fan coil units, pipes, wiring, and insulation.">
• Maintain records of repair, replacements, and time spent on each job.">
• Stay abreast of changing technologies, procedures, and products by reading trade journals, operating manuals, and attending workshops and seminars.">
• May clear ice and snow from sidewalks, streets, and parking areas with hand tools and/or heavy equipment.">
• Participate in training and educational activities.">
• May train others on procedures and operation of equipment.">
• Occasionally work with other departments to accomplish large projects.">
• Respond to emergency calls such as plumbing, electrical, and elevator, as needed.">
