Refrigeration Engineer Opportunity
About the Role:
Mead & Hunt is seeking an experienced refrigeration engineer to join our Food & Beverage group. The successful candidate will conduct job-site surveys, calculate refrigeration requirements, and assist in project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting site assessments to determine refrigeration needs
• CALCULATING REFRIGERATION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCESS COOLING AND BUILDING LOADS
• Developing project documentation including drawings, P&ID's, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
• Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
• Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least six years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration design
• Experience with food plant project design
• Chilled water/hydronic design expertise
• Familiarity with managing project invoices
• Proven ability to work directly with clients, including marketing to obtain future work
