About the Role:
This position requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining patient safety by ensuring surgical instruments are processed according to manufacturers' guidelines and AAMI standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the department by retrieving, documenting, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments
• Transport contaminated and sterile surgical instruments and supplies to and from all OR's and patient care areas
• Prevent cross-contamination of surgical instruments by decontaminating and inspecting instruments for cleanliness and defects
• Contribute to department cleanliness, organization, productivity, and safety by keeping all instruments and supplies in designated locations
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year Sterile Processing experience
• IAHCSMM CRCST Certification or CBSBD certification
