Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Specialist to join our team at So IL Health Care Foundation. As an HVAC Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems in our facility.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and environmental quality within healthcare facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and safely.
• Perform regular inspections of HVAC systems and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with facility regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to maintain a comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Monitor and adjust HVAC systems to maintain specific environmental conditions required for various healthcare areas.
• Ensure proper air quality and temperature control for the safety of patients and staff.
• Respond to temperature or air quality-related issues.
• Handle and dispose of refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve system longevity.
• Maintain accurate records of HVAC system maintenance, inspections, repairs, and refrigerant use.
• Prepare and submit reports on HVAC system performance, repairs, and equipment lifecycle for internal tracking and regulatory compliance.
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
