Job Overview
The Electric Power Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with state and local building codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power systems and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and install electrical power systems and equipment, including wiring, circuits, and controls.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment to prevent failures and ensure continuous operation.
• Test and inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards and defects.
• Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate job duties and ensure project milestones are met.
Requirements:
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license.
