Job Description
Are you ready to bring your technical skills to the Pilot Team? We offer competitive compensation, substantial quarterly bonuses, weekends off, and no on-call duties! You will enjoy the convenience of being dispatched from home while working 45-50+ hours a week, even during winter. We provide a company service vehicle, all necessary tools and equipment, a cellular phone/iPad, and a laptop to support your role. Become an essential part of maintaining the smooth operation of approximately 15 store locations, including here in Springville, UT.
Your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair facility HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems in various retail and food outlets.
• Respond to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair based on warranty and industry standards.
• Communicate repair status with the service tech supervisor and store management.
• Complete same-day work order repair notes and forward them to your supervisor; ensure proper charge allocations.
• Monitor and maintain truck stock to ensure availability of required parts.
• Keep service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in compliance with company standards.
• Conduct inspections of facility interiors and exteriors for safety and maintenance issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Model behaviors that reflect the company's commitment to guest and team member support.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving history necessary.
• A minimum of three years of recent maintenance experience with commercial HVAC systems required; certification is preferred.
• At least three years of recent experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment is essential.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems necessary.
• Understanding OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate mathematical skills required.
• Capable of reading and interpreting site drawings.
• A strong attention to detail is vital.
• Customer service skills that enhance team collaboration.
• Ability to travel less than 10% as needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, crawl, and kneel as necessary.
