About the Straz Center for the Performing Arts
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa. This role is a key part of maintaining the optimal functioning of our HVAC systems, ensuring comfortable temperature and humidity levels throughout the building.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections and performing maintenance on various HVAC equipment, including mechanical rooms, air handler units, direct expansion systems, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and maintain HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Adjust settings as needed to maintain comfortable temperature and humidity levels throughout the building.
• Participate in the company's preventive maintenance program for all mechanical HVAC equipment.
• Assist with various tasks, including pumping systems, valves, water systems, fire alarm systems, and contractor support.
Requirements and Benefits:
This role requires a minimum of one year of experience as an HVAC Technician or Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of hand and power tools, meters, and recording instruments. We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a generous 403(b) plan and a team-based work environment.
