Job Description
As an HVAC Mechanic at San Diego Community College District, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires working on complex electrical and plumbing equipment and systems, as well as having knowledge of computer programs related to HVAC.
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of EPA requirements, Title 24 (State of California), and LEED Certified Buildings
• Familiarity with internal combustion engines, mechanical codes pertaining to HVAC equipment, and operation of modern testing devices
• Ability to work safely and follow oral and written directions
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is $5,641.78 - $9,005.57 per month based on the 2024 Classified salary schedule. Excellent benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents.
