Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating and cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC and leadership skills to manage a team of technicians.
About the Role
This is a key position within our company that requires exceptional organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all services meet industry standards, managing technician schedules, and addressing customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate HVAC maintenance and service teams to ensure quality onsite.
• Schedule, direct, and provide technical support for HVAC technicians.
• Understand sales criteria and hold the team accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Review technician work to ensure quality meets established standards.
• Organize training and ongoing support for install teams.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train HVAC technicians as required to meet workload demands.
Requirements
• Must have a working knowledge of Service Titan (not just Service Titan Remote).
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program.
• 3+ years of training in HVAC and willingness for more training in the area of HVAC.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Current HVAC technician license.
• Valid drivers license.
