Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented HVAC Commission Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for calculating and processing commissions for HVAC sales personnel, ensuring accurate and timely payment. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of HVAC sales processes, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Commission Calculation: Accurately calculate commissions based on sales data for HVAC technicians, sales representatives, and other personnel, ensuring correct commission rates and payment schedules.
· Data Analysis: Review sales transactions, contracts, and service agreements to verify commission eligibility and amounts, ensuring all criteria are met for commission payouts.
· Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of commissions, including adjustments, reversals, and updates to ensure compliance and transparency.
· Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, accounting department, and management to ensure commission data is aligned with company policies and procedures.
· Reports Generation: Prepare and distribute commission reports for management and team members, providing insight into earnings and performance metrics.
· Problem Resolution: Address and resolve commission discrepancies or disputes, collaborating with the sales team to investigate and rectify any issues.
· Process Improvement: Assist in refining and optimizing commission structures, ensuring they are competitive and align with company goals.
· System Maintenance: Ensure the accurate entry of commission-related data into accounting or commission tracking software, and provide ongoing support for system-related issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in commission calculation, preferably in the HVAC industry or sales-related field.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CRM software, and/or commission tracking tools. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large volumes of data, detect discrepancies, and perform calculations accurately.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and management.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring all calculations and records are accurate.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address complex commission-related issues and develop effective solutions.
• Knowledge of HVAC Industry: Familiarity with HVAC sales processes and commission structures is a plus.
Education:
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
• Sitting for Extended Periods: Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for the majority of the workday.
• Typing and Data Entry: Proficiency in typing and using a computer mouse for data entry and communication tasks.
• Phone Usage: Ability to handle a headset or phone for extended periods.
• Visual Acuity: Good vision required for reading computer screens and documentation.
• Hearing: Ability to hear clearly through a headset or phone to effectively communicate with customers.
• Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of keyboard and mouse, which involves repetitive motion.
• Manual Dexterity: Adequate manual dexterity for handling phone equipment and performing data entry tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
