We are looking for a skilled Facilities Technician - HVAC to join our team at Malace HR in Mitchel Field, NY. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of tasks, including HVAC maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and flooring tasks. A valid US driver's license and active secret security clearance are required for this position.
Salary: $35 - 38/HR
Job Description:
• Perform preventive maintenance on select equipment, including hydraulic shear and water filtration systems
• Respond to client requests for assistance with HVAC-related issues
• Collaborate with the client Facility Manager to determine service needs and report any operational concerns
• Conduct general maintenance activities, including cleaning, setup, and repair of equipment and furniture
• Participate in hazmat material collection and preparation for disposal
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in facilities/HVAC maintenance
• Valid US driver's license and active secret security clearance
• EPA-approved CFC certification and Journeymen license preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
