Overview
This position is physically located in Qatar in support of LOGCAP.
Under the supervision of the Trade Shop Supervisor, the HVAC Mechanic Lead must have the ability to lead all duties and responsibilities of an HVAC section. Provides maintenance, repair and replacement of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

Qualifications
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Education/Certifications:
• One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of HVAC or related technical school highly desirable.
• Must provide a copy of the diploma and certificates.
• Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Skills:
• Must possess the technical skill to identify repair requirements as it pertains to HVAC equipment.
• Must have expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations and repair of HVAC systems.
• Must be an expert in corrective actions performed by maintenance teams.
• Must have the ability to document and report inspection findings using pictures on required forms.
• Must be detail-oriented, have excellent time management skills, and have exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be proficient in all phases of documentation as it pertains to servicing, maintenance, repairs, classification, etc.
• Must have expert knowledge of equipment operations as it is critical to providing a quality inspection program.
• Must be capable of giving and receiving instructions during the course of normal duties.
• Must be capable of working independently with little-or-no guidance.
• Must be willing to adapt to rapidly-changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Experience:
• Five (5) years HVAC experience with trade certifications.
• Supervisory / Budgetary Responsibilities:
• Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Physical Requirements:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
• Working Conditions:
The worker is subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.

The worker is subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
